Short Stories

I am excited that The Dos Passos Review has published one of my favorite short stories, The Master’s Voices. It has to do with shoe repair, Negro Leagues baseball players, and a middle-aged guy looking for an escape from the daily work routine, but the best thing any reader ever said about it was, “I don’t give a damn about baseball, but your story made me care.”

Below is an unpublished short story…just because:

Knot Untwisting Under Water

Three of my favorite contemporary short stories

“Another Manhattan,” Donald Antrim

“The Cold Outside, ” John Burnside

“The Spot,” David Means
